MUSÉE CARNAVALET

In the historic Marais district, the oldest museum in Paris is entirely devoted to the history of the capital. Completely renovated in 2021, it occupies two 16th and 17th century mansions that make it a must-see for lovers of the city. The new scenography presents incredibly rich collections in a remarkable architectural ensemble: Gallo-Roman and medieval archaeological collections, souvenirs of the French Revolution, paintings, sculptures, furniture and art objects.

Don't forget to take a break at the popular Fabula restaurant located in the courtyard of the museum, where you can nibble on some delicacies at lunchtime in a unique historical setting. In the evening, chef Thibaut Spiwack, a Michelin green star, signs a generous and responsible menu with dishes from four families: vegetal, fish, meat and sweet.
