The Ball

Philippine De Richemont

Philippine de Richemont invites us to follow her into a wild and wonderful dance.

With The Grand Mazarin Ball, Philippine de Richemont transforms the hotel windows into a stage open to the city. A joyful, colourful and bold celebration, inspired by the spirit of the place and by those who pass through it.

The installation unfolds across three windows, illustrating dance and perpetual movement. Female silhouettes echo one another, carried by a vivid palette. They dance, animated by the song of the world.

Born from a song by Georges Moustaki and revisited by Bachar Mar Khalifé, the work is a dance offered to the eye, to be experienced from the street, like an invitation to slow down and perhaps step into the rhythm.

Pangea

In September 2025, the artistic duo Pangea, founded by Colombine Jubert and Laëtitia Rouget, took over the windows of Hôtel Le Grand Mazarin in Paris

Pangea presents a unique installation called Tender Scarecrows. Through a series of totems, somewhere between weather vanes and articulated puppets, the duo plays with colour, symbols, and materials, crafted from recycled fabrics, metal, and concrete. Gentle scarecrows rise from the ground, inviting passers-by to pause, reflect on the path to follow and the direction to take in these busy times. The final figure breaks free from the frame, choosing instead to ascend towards the sky—the nest of dreams from which it was born.

With Tender Scarecrows, Pangea invites all to dream, explore, and celebrate a brighter world.

About the artists :

Since 2020, Pangea has embodied a creative utopia. Inspired by Pangaea, the original supercontinent, the duo explores the idea of a shared world without borders, where human connections are celebrated. Positioned at the crossroads of art, design, and performance, their works are conceived as fragments of a tangible utopia: poetic, joyful, and universal. Colombine Jubert, a former artistic director in fashion, and Laëtitia Rouget, painter and ceramicist, both graduated from Central Saint Martins College of the Arts in London. Long-time friends, they now weave a common vision between Paris and Lisbon, driven by an optimistic, free, and sincere spirit.

Héléna Soubeyrand

From 23rd April 2025, and for three months, the artist transported passers‑by and lovers of the Marais into her creative world, celebrating the power of femininity and universal love through a symbolic aesthetic

Driven by performance, Héléna Soubeyrand has developed a unique technique of ambidextrous, symmetrical portraiture, created in acrylic or ink. For her collaboration with Le Grand Mazarin, she explored the theme of “Cycle” and femininity.

“The windows are arranged as a triptych to illustrate the cycle. A creative cycle allows light to enter and brings us together in the universe: our uniqueness, our stories, our sanctuaries, and the importance of loving and respecting ourselves. I wanted to celebrate women as the source of humanity. To portray them in a utopian world as a shield against darkness. When the outside world feels too dark, it becomes difficult to bear. Art and creation are a refuge in which I believe,”

About the artist :

Initially trained as an actress, Héléna Soubeyrand has returned to her first passion of illustration. Trained at the Conservatoire, she cultivated a taste for precise gestures and repetition in order to capture genuine emotion. Her artistic universe oscillates between dreamlike and sacred, blending feminine iconography from religious art with the fluid lines of Pop culture.

In recent years, Héléna has built up a series of prestigious collaborations and exhibited her work in iconic locations. She regularly works with brands such as Ruinart, Montblanc, Art Basel Paris, Sisley and Chanel, bringing her unique artistic flair to their campaigns. Her work continues to evolve, weaving together performance, mysticism and modernity, asserting her distinctive voice in the contemporary art scene.

Léona Rose

Starting from February 2025 and lasting until April, passers‑by in Le Marais were able to journey into the world of Matryoshka dolls.

Leona Rose’s exhibition reinterprets the famous Russian Matryoshka dolls as a metaphor for the different facets that make up human beings. Each doll, nested within another, symbolises the successive layers of identity, life stages, and inner revelations. At the heart of this reflection, the artist draws inspiration from mythical references, including the two-headed serpent, and embodies themes of duality, inner conflict, and the balance between opposing forces.

In her artwork, Leona evokes the coexistence of paradoxes: the past and the future, light and shadow, and the struggle between reason and intuition. She also refers to constant transformation and the ability to navigate multiple paths.

Through this exploration, Leona encourages embracing one’s full potential, aligning with the universe, and revealing the multidimensional richness of human identity.

About the artist :

Leona Rose is a young contemporary artist-painter from the south of France. Her universe is flamboyant, colourful, and infused with a pop touch. She projects her monumental, colorful murals on walls or canvases, and works on many design projects for major brands, which she translates into various forms. Her favourite themes include tropical and dreamlike atmospheres. Her style is raw, spontaneous, and intuitive, which has characterised her artistic approach since the beginning.

A self-taught artist, Leona learned the different techniques she uses today, and she draws her inspiration from her many travels, both physical and spiritual. There are many influences found in he her work, including Mexican and Berber primitive art, naive painting, as well as inspiration from renowned figures such as Douanier Rousseau, Frida Kahlo, and Matisse.

Leona has held two exhibitions: ‘(Hi)story!’ (2018), and ‘Popical Dream – Fragments’ (2021).

Marin Montagut

Since October 17th and for three months, passers‑by were able to dive into the world of Marin Montagut, where dreaminess and delicacy intertwined.

His latest installation has enchanted the Grand Mazarin’s display with a life-size tarot deck. This meticulous and poetic work invites
passersby to explore a magical, luminous world marked by the artist’s unique signature.

“Creating this life-size, hand-painted tarot deck is a new way for me to express myself, and it is dear to my heart. Each card is a gateway to a poetic world, an exploration of symbols that invites us to dream.”

About Marin Montagut:

Marin Montagut is a French illustrator and designer.
Through his eponymous brand, he creates objects missing from his daily life and showcases them in his Parisian shop, located near the Luxembourg Gardens at 48 Rue Madame in the 6th arrondissement.

He is also the author of books published by Flammarion:Extraordinary Collections (2023), The Wonderful Paris of Marin Montagut (2021) and co-author, with Ines de La Fressange, of Under the Roofs of Paris (2018).

Through his watercolors, Marin Montagut transports us into hisdelicate, poetic, and joyful world.

Tiffany Bouelle

Tiffany Bouelle, a young French‑Japanese artist, painter and performance artist committed to amplifying women’s voices, presented a triptych entitled Strange Neighborhood from 27 June, for a period of three months

Created specifically for Le Grand Mazarin, her work unfolds three theatrical scenes drawn from everyday life, each infused with a gentle touch of humour.

Fascinated by cabinets of curiosities and burlesque décor, Tiffany Bouelle sought to guide passers‑by into her enchanting universe. The entire installation, crafted from recycled paper, evokes the spontaneity of childhood creations and invites a sense of reverie — a poetic journey where every detail sparks wonder and imagination.

About the artist :

Tiffany Bouelle has exhibited her work in major French institutions such as the Monnaie de Paris, the Jardin des Arts Décoratifs within the Manufacture de Sèvres, and the Musée des Arts et Métiers. She also took part in the 2019 edition of the contemporary Asian art fair Asia Now, as well as BAD Bordeaux Art & Design in 2023.

Trained in traditional calligraphy by her Japanese grandfather, Tiffany Bouelle draws on this family heritage, having spent every summer in Japan since the age of seven. Her work can also be found in several boutiques of leading luxury houses.
